Analytic Listening: Foundations of Psychoanalytic Practice
We are pleased to offer a six-week course on analytic listening beginning Winter 2020.  This course qualifies for 9 Continuing Education credits.
Enrollment Criteria: This course is suitable for students from a wide variety of backgrounds, including practicing clinicians from all disciplines, recent graduates of masters-level or doctoral-level programs, professionals considering changing careers, and anyone eligible to apply for post-graduate psychoanalytic training.

An impasse is “a road with no outlet”, essentially a blind alley. It refers to a common feature in many treatments that, when not worked through, can lead to prolonged stalemates, often with the patient leaving prematurely or being unable to move toward a meaningful termination.
