WORKING  GROUP: Psychoanalysis in the Institution with Ona Nierenberg

This clinical working group will be oriented by the specific challenges and unique opportunities we encounter in hospitals, clinics, prisons, treatment programs, schools, and other institutions. We will explore the often surprising possibilities for the analyst to create and sustain space for the singular even in those settings where the universal-as-ideal is raised to the position of master. The group is open to those working clinically in or with institutions.

We will meet on Sundays from  3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, once per month beginning in October, dates and place to be determined.

Please contact Ona Nierenberg at onierenberg@gmail.com or 917-804-2467 to discuss your interest in participating.

Ona Nierenberg is a psychoanalyst in New York, a former Senior Psychologist at Bellevue Hospital, and Clinical Instructor, Department of Psychiatry, NYU Langone Medical Center.
