Psychoanalytic Association presents FILM PRESENTATION: No Human Is Illegal Richard Ledes

No Human Is Illegal is a 60-minute documentary film that represents a personal encounter in April 2016 with asylum seekers, aid workers, and residents on the Greek island of Lesvos, just after the European Commission’s deal with Turkey forced the refugees either to be sent back to that country or held indefinitely in horrendous conditions.

The filmmaker will show the film, then briefly provide an update of the situation and share his evolving sense of its significance for the future of human rights in relation to citizens’ rights.

Richard Ledes is a director, writer and producer. He recently completed No Human Is Illegal, a documentary about refugees detained on the Greek island of Lesvos.
